Let me tell you one of my favorite things about this show, Danny. Well not necessarily him (Though he is one of my favorites) but the way that the writers depict Danny.
Stiles say’s and the rest of the characters agree, everyone loves Danny.
The fact that he’s gay doesn’t define him, it comes secondary to all his other qualities:
- He is an extremely loyal friend to Jackson, also he’s probably the only person that said boy genuinely cares about. That’s something else I love, with all the stereotypes surrounding Jackson Whitmore he should be public enemy number 1 for the only out gay teen at school instead he’s said boy’s best friend and good luck finding your body if you fuck with said best friend.
- He is intelligent. I’m sure his powers of technology will be further explored this season.
- He is athletic, what with playing first string goalie and having the amazing abs.
- He breaks the norm. He’s not weak, he could easily handle himself in a fight by the looks of him and he isn’t overly. Nor is he so steeped in shame because he’s an athlete that he bullies others who aren’t manly. He’s just a normal guy who just so happens to like dude’s, big whoop.
So you know what Teen Wolf writers thank you for Danny, thank you for a normal gay kid not some stereotype. You are perfect.
Well actually you’re almost perfect … give the kid a last name already!
